Below is a very Brief Glossary of Fittings used in Plumbing:End feed Fittings.These are joints requiring solder to seal them, but they do not hold a solder ring inside. It pushes on the waste pipework making use of an internal sealing ring that is compressed to seal against the pipe.Overflow Waste.These are pipework and their connections that transport from an overflow output and away to a drainage point. Example, a cold water cistern that is fitted in a loft and that discharges outside or the outside overflow point of a toilet.Radiator Valves.These control the heat output from the radiator. The radiator comes in many styles these days and so the valves should be fitted to match the heat loss of a room.
